Dan Clarke Automotive Ltd offers various types of services, allowing you to choose the service most suited for your requirements.<o:p>
1. Manufactureres Scheduled Servicing
When vehicles have up to date manufacturer’s service history from day one, continuing with the manufacturers scheduled servicing is usually the best option.
This type of service is often more cost effective, but it is important to bear in mind that there are numerous types of service available for each vehicle. Some will be very small and might only consist of an oil change, while others may be much larger and include timing belt replacement, gearbox oil replacement, brake fluid replacement, valve clearance adjustment to name just a few examples. These will differ enormously in price depending on the type of service required. If your vehicle still has a manufacturers warranty we can carry out servicing adhering to the manufacturer’s service schedule and using parts of original equipment quality.
2. D C Major Service
This is a comprehensive check of all vital components such as brakes and steering as well as ensuring reliability by replacing important service items such as spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, engine oil, fuel filter and pollen filter (where applicable) and is for older vehicles, where more frequent servicing is required, or where service history is not complete.
We will also add a specialist advanced formula engine flush to the old oil prior to draining, this ensures that harmful sludge and acid build up is removed from the engine – all helping to prolong engine life and reliability and a screen-wash additive to assist in reducing the chances of freezing in the winter months.
3. D C Interim Service
This is a smaller service designed for older vehicles, where more frequent servicing is required. It is also suitable for vehicles which cover an exceptionally low annual mileage. The interim service covers the important reliability items and safety critical items and includes: engine oil, oil filter, screen-wash additive, advanced formula engine flush. All waste products are disposed of in accordance with environmental legislation to promote a cleaner environment.

Additional Regular Maintenance to Consider
Cambelt Replacement:
Failure to replace cambelts at required intervals will result in serious engine damage
Air-Conditioning Check and Recharge:
Having your air conditioning system decontaminated annually will eliminate bacteria and neutralise odours ensuring a cleaner and safer driving environment
Brake Fluid Change:
Brake fluid is advised to be replaced every 2 years. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the atmosphere causing a lower boiling point of the fluid, which can cause premature brake fading.
Anti – Freeze Change:
Antifreeze is advised to be replaced every 4 years. Antifreeze not only stops the cooling system from freezing in the winter, it also has an anti-corrosion property to prevent rusting of the internal side of the engine.
Engine Flush:
Modern unleaded fuels can leave sticky tars in engines and fuel systems. An engine flush at service time can reduce toxic exhaust emissions and improve fuel efficiency.
